This Cancellation Policy is part of the Paradays Terms of Service and applies equally to customers and performers. The idea is simple: we only record events that genuinely affect the other party, and cancelling never charges anyone for a meeting that did not happen.
| When you cancel | What happens |
|---|---|
| An unconfirmed request (not yet accepted by the other party) | No penalty. |
| A confirmed booking, 24 hours or more before the start time | No penalty. |
| A confirmed booking, within 10 minutes of confirming it | No penalty — a grace period for immediate changes of mind. |
| A confirmed booking, less than 24 hours before the start time | Recorded as a late-cancellation reliability event on your account. |
Cancelling a confirmed booking before the meeting starts releases the customer's payment hold in full. No money moves: the customer is not charged, no cancellation fee is collected, and nothing is paid to either party.
Late cancellations and no-shows (see below) count together toward a single limit. Three or more combined reliability events within any 30-day period result in a temporary suspension from booking:
The 30-day window is rolling — older events expire out of it automatically, so a single bad week does not follow you forever.
Your rating is unaffected. Reliability is tracked separately from review ratings: ratings reflect the quality of meetings that happened, while reliability reflects whether bookings happen as planned.
Every meeting begins with an in-person check-in (the "digital handshake") in the app. If no check-in happens within the meeting's start window — from 15 minutes before to 60 minutes after the scheduled start time — the meeting never begins and is treated as a no-show.
Customers and performers are held to exactly the same standards — the cancellation windows, reliability events, and suspensions described here apply identically to both sides of every booking.
If you believe a reliability event or suspension was recorded in error, contact support@getparadays.com. We review the booking record and remove events that were recorded incorrectly.
