Privacy Policy — Paradays
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Effective: June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Paradays LLC ("Paradays," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Paradays mobile application and related websites at getparadays.com and paradays.day (collectively, the "Service").
Paradays is a marketplace that connects customers with local people who offer activities and services (showing newcomers around a city, fitness and outdoor activities, tutoring and language practice, creative work, and household help). By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Paradays is intended only for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. See "Children's Privacy" below.
We currently operate in the United States only.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information you provide directly
Account & identity
- Email address (and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google returns, such as your name and profile picture)
- Display name
- Date of birth (used to confirm you are 18 or older)
- Account type (public/"performer" or private/"customer")
- Phone number (optional)
Profile
- Gender (optional)
- Photos: profile photo (avatar) and gallery photos
- Bio / headline / "about" text
- Languages spoken
- Location information: city, state/region, postal code, and (if you provide it) a precise or approximate map location
- For people who offer services: hourly rate, service areas/cities, activity examples, and optional background details (education, certificates, work experience)
Bookings, content & communications
- Booking requests, meetings, and the meeting points/addresses you provide
- Service requests you post (title, description, category, optional photos, preferred dates/location)
- Chat messages and photos you exchange with other users
- Reviews and ratings you write
- Reports you file and users you block
Payment information
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or security code. We store only Stripe identifiers and safe display details returned by Stripe — your card brand, last four digits, and expiration month/year.
- If you receive payouts, we store your Stripe Connect account identifier and payout status. Your bank details are held by Stripe, not by us.
b. Information collected automatically
- Location data. With your permission, we collect approximate location (to sort nearby listings by distance) and precise GPS location (for the optional in-meeting Safety feature and for placing an offer's location pin). You can control location access in your device settings.
- Device & usage data. Through Google/Firebase Analytics we collect app-usage and device information (such as device model, operating system version, app version, and in-app events) to understand how the app is used.
- Diagnostics / crash data. Through Firebase Crashlytics we collect crash reports and error diagnostics to fix problems.
- Push notification token. A Firebase Cloud Messaging token so we can send you notifications (you can disable notifications in your device settings).
c. Information from third parties
- Google Sign-In (if used): your email, name, and profile picture, as authorized by you.
- Stripe: payment status, payout eligibility, and dispute/chargeback information related to your transactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and verify you are 18 or older;
- Operate the marketplace — show listings, enable bookings, scheduling, meetings, and messaging;
- Process payments, payouts, refunds, platform fees, referral earnings, and taxes through Stripe;
- Provide the optional Safety feature (sharing precise location during an active meeting);
- Moderate content and keep the platform safe (see "Photos & Content Moderation");
- Send transactional messages and push notifications (booking confirmations, reminders, messages, review reveals);
- Apply legally required rate adjustments (e.g., local domestic-worker minimum wage) and collect applicable taxes;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, off-platform circumvention, security issues, and policy violations;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
a. With other users
The marketplace is social by design. Depending on your account type, other users may see:
- For public ("performer") profiles: your display name, avatar, age, gender, languages, hourly rate, city/state, ratings, headline/short bio, and your public gallery — visible to signed-in users browsing the marketplace.
- For private ("customer") profiles: your display name and avatar are shared only with users you connect with through a booking or chat; your private gallery is visible only to connected users.
- Reviews you write become visible to the other party (and rating averages appear on profiles) under our blind-review system (reviews are hidden until both parties submit or 7 days pass).
- Cached "snapshot" copies of your display name and avatar are stored in bookings, meetings, and chats so the other party can still see who they dealt with. These snapshots are anonymized ("Deleted user") if you delete your account.
b. With service providers
We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf:
- Google / Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), file storage, cloud functions, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications.
- Stripe — payment processing and payouts (Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy).
- Google Cloud Vision — automated scanning of uploaded photos for prohibited content (the image is scanned and not retained by the scanning service).
c. For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Paradays, our users, or the public.
d. Business transfers
If Paradays is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Location Data
- Approximate location is used to sort nearby listings.
- Precise location is used (a) for the optional Safety feature, which shares your live location with the other party during an active meeting, and (b) to place a location pin on an offer.
- Safety-session location updates are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
- You can turn location access on or off at any time in your device settings. Some features (nearby sorting, Safety) will not work without it.
5. Photos & Content Moderation
Photos you upload (avatar, galleries, service-request photos, and chat photos) are automatically scanned for prohibited content using Google Cloud Vision. Photos that clearly violate our policies are blocked or removed; uncertain cases may be reviewed by our staff. Service-request photos are retained for 30 days after the request is closed, fulfilled, or expired, then deleted (see "Data Retention").
6. Payment Processing
All card payments and payouts are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number, CVC, or bank account credentials. We store only Stripe identifiers and safe display fields (card brand, last four digits, expiration). Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it, except where longer retention is required:
| Data | Retention |
| Profile and account data | Until you delete your account (then anonymized — see below) |
| Transaction / payment records | Retained at least 7 years (tax and legal requirements) |
| Administrative / audit logs | Retained at least 7 years |
| Service-request photos | 30 days after the request is closed/fulfilled/expired, then deleted |
| Safety-session precise location | 24 hours, then deleted |
| Chat messages and reviews | Retained as part of the other party's records, even after you delete your account |
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to limit certain uses.
- Access & update: You can view and edit most profile information in the app.
- Delete your account: In the app, go to Account → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. If you cannot access the app, you may request deletion at support@getparadays.com or via our web deletion page at https://getparadays.com/delete-account.
- Permissions: Control location, camera, and notification access through your device settings.
- Marketing/launch emails: You can opt out of non-essential emails (you will still receive essential transactional messages).
To exercise any right, contact us at support@getparadays.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
What deletion does
When you delete your account, we delete your login, profile, photos, and active listings, and we anonymize your name and avatar in past bookings, chats, and reviews (they will show "Deleted user"). We retain transaction records, audit logs, and the other party's chat/review content as described above and as required by law.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, server-side access-control rules that limit who can read your data, authentication via Firebase, and restricted access to payment secrets. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and continually improve our safeguards.
10. Children's Privacy
Paradays is for adults only. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact support@getparadays.com.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. The categories of personal information we collect are described in Section 1 (identifiers, account and profile data, commercial/transaction data, geolocation, photos and audiovisual content, internet/usage activity, and inferences are limited). To exercise your rights, contact support@getparadays.com. You may use an authorized agent, and we will verify your request before responding.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as an in-app notice or email) before the changes take effect.
